The company started as Poonpon Company Limited, engaging in the domestic trading of various rice types. In response to growing demand and a commitment to providing customers with the highest quality rice, the first Poonpon Rice Mill was established in 1982 in Surin Province. Surin is widely recognized as one of the top regions for producing premium Thai Hom Mali Rice, also known globally as Jasmine Rice.
