About Masfrost
Our tradition of fruit and vegetable processing dates back to 1886, when local merchant Carl Gottfried Seidel established a facility in Ziębice to make use of the region’s abundant harvest. Just two years later, the factory expanded, and by 1898, it was producing some of the first canned foods in Europe — and among the earliest in the world. Despite undergoing ownership changes and various challenges over the years, the plant has never ceased vegetable production, making it one of the oldest continuously operating vegetable processing facilities in Europe.
