For more than 50 years, from its base in Mersin, Turkey, Arbel Group, consisting of Arbel S.A. and TURKPULSE, has been a leading producer, processor and exporter of grains, pulses and other food products. A subsidiary of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc., Canada, Arbel is the largest exporter of pulses in Turkey and was ranked third in the 2009 Turkish Export Rankings by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry. Since 2009, following AGT’s acquisition of all Arbel food-related operations, the company has become part of a global network of 21 facilities across Canada, the U.S., Australia and Turkey. Operating on a 100,000 m² complex with 50,000 metric tons of steel silos, 70,000 metric tons of horizontal storage and a daily capacity of 4,000 metric tons, Arbel specializes in cleaning, peeling, sifting, splitting, color sorting and calibrating red and green lentils, chickpeas, beans and bulgur, offering both retail and bulk packaged products for domestic and international markets.
