About South Alder Farms Ltd.
Located in Aldergrove, British Columbia, South Alder Farms’ headquarters sits in the sun-rich Fraser Valley—an area known for its fertile soil and mild climate, ideal for blueberry cultivation. With over 1,000 acres of blueberry fields spread across the Fraser Valley—from Chilliwack to Langley—as well as additional fields in Lynden, Washington, we’re able to extend our harvest season. We directly manage and cultivate most of our fields, allowing for greater oversight in both quality and traceability. Our blueberry season typically starts in late June or early July and continues through to late September or early October, with eight different blueberry varieties grown. Alongside blueberries, we also produce and pack blackberries, strawberries, and garlic, and offer limited quantities of fresh red, black, and white currants, as well as jumbo gooseberries. Our farm includes an on-site fresh packing facility, allowing us to pick and package berries daily during the harvest—ensuring maximum freshness. Most of our blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries are hand-harvested to guarantee only the ripest and best-quality fruit is selected. Visit our Fresh Berries page to learn more about what we grow.
