Rigas Nuts

Our company has been active in the nut and dried fruit industry since 1968. We source Greek nuts or import them as needed and process them with great care and attention. We offer a wide range of packaging options for nuts, dried fruits, and sweets, tailored to suit the needs of different types of stores. The journey began in 1968, when Vassilios Stathopoulos operated a small peeling facility in the Peloponnese, supplying markets in Athens and Thessaloniki. In 1981, the business relocated to Athens with a retail outlet. By 1985, Rigas and Martha Stathopoulos took over and expanded the company’s reach to more stores. In 1988, operations moved to Peristeri, Athens, and the company introduced small retail packages, such as 100-gram pillow bags. Imports of nuts and dried fruits began in 2000 from various countries around the world. In 2008, production expanded into new company-owned facilities in the Ano Liossia industrial park. That same year, Ioanna and Alexandra Stathopoulou joined the business, bringing new energy and helping modernize operations. In 2010, the company began exporting and fully implemented ISO 22000 standards for daily control of storage, production, and distribution. This allowed the company to meet the catering demands across Greece. In 2013, new roasting machines and delivery trucks were added in response to increased production. By 2021, a new facility was acquired in Aspropyrgos, featuring new equipment and packaging options such as doypacks with zippers and bowl-type containers. The company also began offering private label services, expanding its capabilities to meet evolving customer needs.
