Nelson Wendt Alimentos has always been a family-run business. The company began processing rice in 1964 with the goal of providing high-quality products to consumers. Today, the rice we produce is a part of daily meals for thousands of people. We are committed to genuine care just like within a family which is reflected throughout every stage of our production. At just 21 years old, Nelson Wendt started processing rice in a small mill in Pelotas, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, working alongside his father, Mr. Alfredo Wendt.
