Armada Foods

The commercial roots of the Sönmez Family date back to 1914, and in 1993 they established Armada Foods, marking a new era in the food industry. What began with import and export operations in 2,000 m² warehouses grew into industrial-scale production with a modern 20,000 m² grain processing facility, forming the foundation of a fully integrated value chain from field to table. Over the years, Armada has consistently expanded its operations: introducing digital technologies in 1999, becoming a trusted supplier to the United Nations in the early 2000s, opening a central factory in 2009, launching a bulgur plant in 2015, starting organic legume production in 2017, and doubling capacity in 2019. More recently, Armada inaugurated its second organic facility in 2022, advanced its Armada-3 investment in 2023, launched renewable energy projects in 2024, and in 2025 completed both an IPO and the commissioning of its Super Cereal facility. Today, Armada Foods stands as a global leader with strong producer identity, industrial capacity, international partnerships, and a robust export network, firmly established in the value chain from field to table.
