With over 67 years of experience in the spices and herbs trade, Al Garas has grown into one of Egypt’s leading importers of spices, herbs, and seeds. The journey began in 1952 when Mr. Gad Garas moved from Upper Egypt to Alexandria and spent 16 years selling spices and herbs to local shops before opening his own store in 1968 at the heart of Alexandria’s spice market. In 1984, his sons expanded the family business internationally by establishing Al Garas Trading Company. As the business grew, each son specialized in a distinct field: Dr. Fawzy Gad founded Bell Food Company for food ingredients and additives, Mr. Garas Gad focused on grains and pulses, and Dr. Nocehi Gad continued expanding in the spices and herbs sector, carrying forward their father’s legacy.
