About T.M. Duche & Sons Ltd
T.M. Duché & Sons was founded in 1857 in London by Tristan Mathieu Duché, a former French deputy exiled after the 1851 coup d’état led by Louis Napoleon Bonaparte. Though a renowned French lawyer and statesman, Duché was unable to practice law in England and instead established a foreign trade business with his sons, Claude and J.B. Marius. The firm grew rapidly, opening branches globally. It became part of the S&W Berisford Group in 1972 but regained independence in 1991. Today, T.M. Duché & Sons operates from its offices at Station House in Knutsford, Cheshire, continuing its long legacy in international trade.
