In the mid-1800s, a mill was established in Gallenca, located in the municipality of Valperga (TO). On July 17, 1924, Domenico Peila acquired the mill and continued the family legacy by producing soft wheat flour.


During the 1960s and 1970s, the Peila Mill underwent expansion and modernization under the direction of his sons. By the late 1980s, the founder's grandchildren transitioned the mill’s focus to corn milling, anticipating future growth and opportunities in that field.
