RPAC Almonds
About RPAC Almonds
Based in Los Banos, California at the heart of the Central Valley our company specializes in all aspects of almond production, from cultivation and processing to global marketing. The journey evolved in 1973, when second-generation family members Louis and Barbara Parreira, together with their sons David and Paul, established the Parreira Almond Processing Company (PAPC). This venture expanded upon their farming roots and became one of California’s earliest almond hulling and shelling facilities, serving growers across the Central Valley. In 1986, recognizing a need to broaden their scope, the family joined forces with Ned Ryan widely regarded as the "Global Almond Ambassador" to launch Ryan Parreira Almond Company (RPAC). This expansion allowed the family to oversee the entire almond journey, from field to final market, with PAPC handling hulling and shelling and RPAC focusing on processing and sales. Following Ned’s retirement in 2005, Dennis Soares entered the partnership, later joined by Paul Ewing in 2014. Over time, our business has grown significantly, forging long-term alliances with partners who share our core values: integrity, quality, innovation, safety, and sustainability. These relationships, built over decades, have developed into bonds that feel more like family than business. While technology, certifications, marketing, and partnerships continue to transform how we operate our purpose, our "why," remains unchanged.
