PolProduct

Polproduct owes its beginnings to Henk “Lion” De Leeuw, who founded the company in 1958. A true icon in the fruit industry, Henk was well known and respected across both Western and Eastern Europe. Among the many memorable and humorous stories about him, one that stands out is the famous “frog story” from a 1968 interview. Henk had ordered a shipment of strawberries but, to his surprise, received a container filled with live frogs. Rather than be discouraged, he released them into a nearby lake, giving them a new home. Henk passed away in October 2020 at the age of 86, after living a remarkable and adventurous life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his colleagues and in the very spirit of Polproduct.
