About P&H Milling Group
Parrish and Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) is a Canadian, family-owned agribusiness with deep roots in the agriculture sector dating back to 1909. The company was established by W.L. Parrish of Brandon, Manitoba, and Norman Heimbecker of Hanover, Ontario. P&H entered the flour milling industry in 1964 by acquiring Knechtel Milling in Hanover. In 1975, the company expanded its wheat and durum milling operations through the purchase of Ellison Milling Company in Lethbridge, Alberta. By 1989, P&H diversified into pea fractionation milling with the launch of Parrheim Foods in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where the facility focuses on extracting proteins, starches, and fibers from Canadian yellow field peas.
The company continued to grow with the acquisition of Hayhoe Mills Ltd. in 2007, followed by the 2009 purchase of Dover Industries, which added five more mills to the P&H Milling Group and enabled the company to strengthen its national reach and customer service capabilities across Canada.
In 2017, P&H opened a cutting-edge flour mill at the Port of Hamilton, located beside their grain terminal established in 2011. Further expansion in early 2020 increased the facility's production capacity to meet rising customer demand.
P&H remains proudly operated by its founding families and continues to serve clients across Canada, the United States, and globally.
