Nortoliva 1850

Aceites Guiu began its journey in 1850 in Les Borges Blanques, Catalonia, producing olive oil in a traditional stone mill. By the early 20th century, the company, under Antonio Guiu, was exporting to countries like Cuba, Brazil, and France. In the 1950s, it expanded into bottling and commercial operations in Spain. In 1990, the multinational UNILEVER acquired José Guiu y Cía, s.a., marking its entry into Spain’s olive oil market. However, the Guiu family regained ownership in 1996 and founded NORTOLIVA, focusing on the trade and export of bulk olive oil with a renewed vision.
