La Felsina

La Felsina is located in the city of Guarambaré, within Paraguay’s Central Department, just over 30 kilometers from the capital, Asunción. The city is well known for its strong cultural traditions and artistic life, and it is home to two major sugar mills: La Felsina and the Guarambaré Sugar Factory. Guarambaré also hosts the annual Takuare’e Festival, a folkloric celebration named after sugarcane, which highlights the crop’s central role in the local economy through music, dance, theater, and cultural performances.

Operating within an industry where Paraguay is recognized as a global leader in organic sugar and Fair Trade exports, La Felsina has a longstanding role in the region’s agro-industrial sector. Fair Trade certification ensures that its production respects both labor rights and social standards, aligning the company with international values of responsible trade. Despite recent challenges caused by oversupply in global organic sugar markets, La Felsina continues to represent both cultural heritage and industrial strength in Paraguay’s sugar industry.
