Del Rio Nut Company

Arakelian Farms was founded in 1917 in Merced County, initially producing raisins and other dried fruits. By the late 1970s, the focus shifted to almonds, making marketing the natural next step.

In 1987, Del Rio Nut Company was formed as the marketing division for Arakelian Farms’ almond production. As word spread among local farmers about the opportunities Del Rio offered, the business expanded to work with growers of all sizes.

Today, Del Rio Nut Company is a vertically integrated, mid-sized brown-skin almond handler, partnering with over 200 almond growers across California’s Central Valley to deliver versatile, healthy almonds to markets worldwide.
