COATO is not a typical company; we are a community created to offer what is truly needed: healthy food thanks to sustainable products and processes. Our agricultural cooperative is located in an area with a deep-rooted agricultural tradition, Totana (Murcia), next to the Mediterranean highway in the heart of the Guadalentín Valley. It all began in 1979 with 65 paprika pepper producers. Since then, we have grown, as have our crops, which today number far more than those initial peppers. Fresh fruits and vegetables, almonds, oil, and honey are some of the products we currently work with. Throughout this history, we have garnered and continue to garner the most important recognitions for quality and sustainability, establishing ourselves as one of the most important cooperatives in the sector.
