About Cajou Espoir
Founded in 2004 by two Togolese entrepreneurs, Cajou Espoir is a social enterprise in Togo dedicated to reducing rural poverty through cashew nut processing. With two factories in Tchamba and Blitta, the company employs over 900 people—70% of whom are women—and sources from more than 1,800 certified organic producers (Ecocert) supported through its programs. Cajou Espoir exports high-quality cashew kernels to Africa, Europe, and North America while also advancing its social mission by initiating and financing community development projects in partnership with local leaders, cooperatives, and employees.
