Aldebaran Commodities B.V., founded in 1997 by Paul van Velzen after 15 years of experience in the peanut industry, has grown into a globally recognized business supported by a team of over 20 professionals. While peanuts remain the company’s core product, its portfolio has expanded to include sunflower seeds (since 2009), as well as cashews, pumpkin seeds, and sesame (since 2013). Through its sister company, Antares Commodities B.V., established in 2015, Aldebaran also supplies almonds, pecans, Brazil nuts, macadamias, and walnuts. Today, the companies import around 40,000 tons into Europe each year, sourcing directly from trusted partners at origin to ensure quality and reliability.
