Agrano GmbH & Co. KG stands as a pioneer and the global leading supplier of organic yeast, with over 20 years of production experience. Their journey began in 1983, collaborating with Swiss universities and colleges to develop a unique production process for organic yeast derived from natural ingredients. Following the successful pilot production of Bioreal® organic yeast in 1995, demand rapidly outgrew capacity. This led to the founding of Agrano GmbH & Co. KG in 1996 in Riegel am Kaiserstuhl, Germany, where a new industrial production facility was constructed to ensure product availability. The company continued its expansion, opening another production facility in 2009 with over 8,500m² of space, and achieving IFS certification in 2010. Further growth included the introduction of new products and the commissioning of a second production line and fluidized bed drying system in 2013, followed by the market launch of organic yeast extracts in 2014, and a third production line in 2019.
